How many emails did you get from Internet Marketing
“Gurus” today?

5? Maybe 10?

I got well over 20!

How can you make sense out of all of these when you
can’t even read all of them?

Are any of them helpful to you or are they simply selling
you something again?

Even if I just skim through all of the emails that I received
today, I can tell that every single one of them is another
pitch for something.

Sure, there are a small handful that may share something
valuable in the actual email itself, but by far, the vast
majority are simply looking for my money.

* So where do you start?
* Should you just open your wallet each day and shell out
another couple hundred to couple thousand bucks?
* Who should you listen to in the first place?

A few months back, I decided to take on two interns. When
I sent out that email asking if there were two people who
would be willing to help me in exchange for learning what I
knew and did, I got over 30 applicants.

While interviewing these people, I heard these same questions
asked repeatedly.

Almost every one of them was overwhelmed. They had no
idea how to even begin to take action let alone what action
to take.

Let me share with you some of the advice I gave to many of
them ….

The first thing that you want to do is to get off of as many lists
as you possibly can. If it’s possible, get rid of them all and start
all over again.

I did this a little while back by simply closing down that email
address which received all of the email and opening a new one.
That way I could get rid of every single email in one fell swoop.

When you start your new email address, be selective about which
lists you opt into.

Go and check out the blogs of the people that you’d consider
giving your email address to. Subscribe to their feeds. (If you
don’t have a feed reader, consider upgrading to Internet
Explorer 7 or Firefox. They both have built in feeds.)

Read what they have to say for several days before you even think
about getting onto their list.

Get to know these people a little bit and make sure that what they
are telling you really makes sense.

As you are going through this process, work on getting your mindset
right. Before you can take any action, you need to make sure that
you are in the proper frame of mind.

What do I mean by that?

Let me give you a few examples …

With my apprentices, when we begin working together, I give them
a document called the “Rules of Professional Conduct”. As an Apprentice,
each student agrees to comply with these Rules.

These Rules require that no student use any negative language or
words at all. Things like “Problems” become “Challenges”.

Problems are negative.
Challenges are merely small bumps in the road that you need to get
over.

My students are not allowed to say that they “can’t do it” or that
“it can’t be done”. Instead, they must simply look at each task as
a challenge.

There are many other elements involved with getting your mindset
ready for success.

Recently, one of my interns interviewed me on this very topic. He
has now created a fantastic product out of that interview and the
interviews he did with 2 other million-dollar marketers who answered
the same questions.

When this intern approached me about doing this interview, I made
him promise that he would make his product accessible to every
person who wanted it by keeping the price extremely low. That was
the one big condition I had before agreeing to even do his interview.

That product has just been released and I must say, I couldn’t be
more proud of this intern. He’s done a fantastic job and he’s kept
his promise to me … the product is only $10.

If you want to learn more about the “RIGHT MINDSET”, I suggest
that you get Jeff’sproduct and really listen to it. Then take action
as I discussed above.

* Get off of all those mailing lists
* Subscribe to those that are most helpful to you under a new
address (limit it to not more than 5 to 10 lists)
* Once your mindset is situationed, TAKE ACTION!
