Ask Gina Gaudio-Graves’ … About Internet Marketing & Strategic Alliances

For more than a year now, I have been working on a project which I call JVSuite.  If you’ve been one of my loyal readers for very long at all, you’ve surely heard me refer to it.

Over the past many months, the JVSuite project has evolved in many ways.  It no longer looks as it did when I envisioned it so long ago.  In fact it is probably at least 10 times the size of what it started out to become.

Today, that project has taken on new shape, new proportions, and even a new name … It has become “elliances - The Entrepreneurial Alliance Association”.

JVSuite is still there.  It has simply become a benefit for members of the elliances Association.

In the process of preparing elliances & JVSuite for their public debut which begins in only a few short (probably VERY short) weeks, I have learned so much about marketing, about business, about people, and about myself as well.

Some of the most important lessons that I’ve learned in the recent few months include:

1)  “In order to create abundance for yourself, you must first create abundance for others.”  (This one is actually a quote from the movie “Conversations With God”, based on the book of the same name, by Neale Donald Walsch.)

2)  In order to build a solid business, you must first build it on a solid foundation.  (This I learned from Henry Gold.)

3)  Every successful business is built using duplicatable, repeatable systems.  Without systems for every aspect of your business, your business will never be all that it can be.  (I learned this from the master of business systems, Rich Schefren.)

4)  There are many different roads that you can take that can lead to the same result.  Some will be smooth, some bumpy.  Some long, some short.  The road that you choose is determined by your passion.  The more passionate you are, the more likely you are to intuitively choose a smoother, shorter road.  (This was one of my biggest “ah-ha moments” of my life, which came during a conversation with one of my new friends, Sam Freedom.)

5)  Never let anyone stop you from pursuing your dreams or your passions.  Above all, you must always believe in yourself.  (From the movie, “The Pursuit of Happyness” with Will Smith.  If you haven’t seen it, it is an absolute MUST to see immediately!)

6)  Every person goes through 7 distinct stages in their life.  These “stages” are in line with the 7 octaves of acoustic harmony.  Each stage brings you to a different level of understanding, and a different level of peacefulness.  You cannot rush yourself through these stages, but can definitely learn to adapt your behavior and actions when you know and understand which stage you are in.  (I learned this from my Affiliate Manager/Project Manager, who is really my “right hand man”, Jambhala Rinpo of WealthMoneyAndPower.com.  Without his assistance, intuition, and guidance, this project would never have come to fruition.)

7)  If you are going to become successful on the Internet, you must set up a business that maximizes your passions, learn how to make money on the internet, and then implement what you learn.  You do this not with the intention of becoming a millionaire directly, but with the intention of giving the money away, knowing full well that it will come back to you many times over.  (See #31 above.)  (I learned this from my friend and business partner, Rob Anderson of Co-OpWorld.com.  Rob and I will be launching a book on this very topic over the summer 2007.)

8)  Great businesses are built on TEAMWORK.  When building a great team, the interests of the individuals are as important as the interest of the team.  (I learned this from my father, Robert J.J. Gaudio, who spent his career building great businesses through teamwork.)

9)  The key to success on the internet is having a responsive list.  But, building that list is all about two things:  having a traffic system (see #10) AND building a strong relationship with the subscribers.  (This wasn’t something I learned from one person.  Rather, it was a combination of what I learned from Tellman Knudson, Henry Gold, studying systems of other gurus, and myself.)

10)  It’s not enough to build a sales funnel for your business.  You must also build a traffic funnel as well.  By building a traffic funnel, you are in effect implementing a traffic generation system.  That is the complete secret to the success of many of the biggest gurus.  (This I learned from myself, as I implemented the teachings and lessons I had learned from many different people.)

I share these lessons with you for several different reasons.

First, I really want you to learn from them.  These are truly essential lessons to true business success.

Sure, you must learn from your own mistakes.  But I also believe that hearing lessons learned by someone else can shorten your learning curve.

Second, many of these all important business lessons will be integrated into what we are doing with elliances and JVSuite.  In the coming weeks and months, you will begin to see how these principles can be implemented into a business as you join us in these organizations.

Finally (although perhaps most importantly), I share these principles with you as my way of expressing my gratitude to all those mentioned above, as well as the many, many others who have helped me so much to put these projects together.

There are so many people that I would need to thank, that it would take me pages and pages to do so.  By the time I was done, I’m sure that you would have stopped reading.

So, instead, let me just say that for each and every person who has played a role in bringing JVSuite and elliances together as businesses …

… from the person who taught me the most basic lesson, to the people who have spent many countless hours planning, tweaking, and implementing, right along side me (many of them, simply unpaid volunteers and for most, with nothing more than a promise that they might see some money if the business every got off the ground) …

you have my undying Thanks and Gratitude!

I could never have accomplished any of this without you by my side.  The project has taken on new meaning and new dimensions as a result of each and every one of you.  And I have become a better person as a result.

I also believe that both JVSuite and elliances have become better as a result of you as well.  Of course, we won’t really know this for sure until both are at a minimum, several months old.  But I know in my heart that they both have a much better chance of success because of your actions.

Today, everything we have worked so hard to bring together gets underway.

For the next several weeks, I will be beginning a new promotion each week.  This is part of what I referred to as “having a sales funnel”.  Not only does each product build upon a prior product, each product literally sells the items in the funnel.

Each product also cross promotes all of the other products.  This is done in a variety of ways.  It can be accomplished through upsells and downsells, one time offers, teleconferences, and more.  One of the most effect ways of accomplishing this, though, is through the actual content of the product itself.

If your product is an ebook, use the inside chapters of the ebook to position your other product(s) as the ONLY solution to the reader’s problem. 

If your product is a teleconference, use the teleconference to solve the listener’s biggest problem.  Again, that solution should be your other product(s).

We will be using many of these methods in the promotions for the products in our sales funnel.  The promotions include (in this order):
