It seems there is a flurry of activity going on in the JV Giveaway arena.  For some reason, these list building sites are springing up all over the place!

There isn’t just one of them at a time anymore.  Right now, I think that there are almost 10 of them going on including:

• Easter JV Giveaway
• JV Giveaway Pro
• PLR Vault
• Hot Downloads Vault
• The Golden Giveaway
• and many more about to start, (including a Software Giveaway from Henry Gold & David Cheney) too!

In case you weren’t familiar with these giveaways, let me tell you how the work so that you can better understand the problem that many face in participating in them.

The way that these giveaways work is that you join as a JV Partner, include a gift that will be downloaded by people who opt into your list, and then you promote the giveaway to your list.  Many giveaways require you to promote a certain number of time (usually two to three times per week).

As a result of all the JV Partners promoting the giveaways to their list, the giveaway gets an influx of new members.  These members get to download all the gifts by simply subscribing to list after list.

After registering for a gift, the member is shown a one time offer.  This is one of the two ways that the JV Partners earn money from the giveaway.  (The other is that the JV Partners earn a commission when their subscribers purchase the OTO for the giveaway itself.)

The more referrals the JV Partner makes, the higher in the list his gift appears.  So, the JV Partners with the biggest lists usually are the ones whose gifts appear in the beginning of the site.  This also means that the JV Partners with the biggest lists are also the ones who gain the greatest number of subscribers from the promotion.

So, if you’re a newbie marketer, and you have no list, how can you participate in these giveaways?

The other night, several of my interns got together to ask me this exact question.

The truth of the matter is that many of the JV Giveaway hosts won’t even allow a newbie with no list (or even a newbie with a small list, for that matter), to participate in the giveaway at all.  The reason for this prohibition is that it wouldn’t be fair to the people with large lists who are promoting the giveaway heavily as they’d be sharing their lists and getting nothing in return.

I’m never one to turn my back on my interns.  I absolutely HATE not being able to answer their questions.  When they came to me with this one, I knew that I’d have to be creative to find a solution for them …

And so I thought about it ….

Not only did I think about it, I went out and talked to several people who are hosting some of the JV Giveaways I mentioned above.

I also talked about the problem (and the possible answers!) with a few of my partners as well.

And finally, I got an idea …

What if there WAS a way for a newbie marketer, one who had absolutely no list even, to participate in these giveaways AND, at the same time, make it fair to the more senior JV Partners who are sharing their lists with them?

The answer became crystal clear when I looked at it that way!

What made the answer even better was that it would even help Experienced Marketers to really EXPLODE their list building results in ANY JV Giveaway!

Actually, the answer was SO SIMPLE, I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t heard anyone talking about it yet!

… Social Bookmarking, and

I know, now you’re really sitting there scratching your head, right?  You thought I was going to make this simple for you, right?

BUT I AM !

You see, the very basic answer is that a Newbie Marketer can promote ANY JV Giveaway WITHOUT a list, simply by setting up a blog and using Social Bookmarking to promote that blog.  Throw in a few Articles being submitted to Article Directories and Syndicators, just for good measure, and that blog will get even more visitors.

Then it just becomes a matter of getting people from that blog to the JV Giveaway.

And even if you’re an Experienced Marketer, using these techniques will get EVEN MORE traffic to your Giveaway Affiliate Link, getting your gift moved higher up in the list, thus getting you EVEN MORE new subscribers!

Do you see how wonderful this is?

It’s the PERFECT ANSWER to how a newbie with a small list, or even no list at all, can participate in a JV Giveaway!
