This is SCARY !

I am SHOCKED. I CANNOT believe that many of my students
and subscribers think that we are still in an information age …
a time when we can just setup a couple of ebooks and hit it big
online.
The truth is….
Those days are OVER. By thinking that we are STILL in the
information era, you’ll set yourself up for failure. WHY?
Well, in the past, when you came up with a great
information product, you were able to simply set up a
small pay per click (PPC) campaign by using google
adwords, and BAM, you’d instantly have orders flooding
in and the next best seller on your hands!
But that time is gone. NOW…
When you set-up this type of campaign, you will see
competitors from the niche you are targeting
follow in your footsteps. These competitors will
try to eat you alive. They will take over your
market.
How will they do this?
Your competitors will start asking ghostwriters to
write ebooks that are similar to your product. They
will set up a campaign identical to yours. They
aren’t violating your intellectual property rights
as they are not copying your every word, so you’re
really in a terrible position.
In addition, you will find them competiting with you
on price as well. Your competitors will be lowering
their prices down to a point where you are the highest
priced product in the market. They will add more
features to their products as well.
What choice will you have but to follow suit as well?
In the end, NOBODY WINS!
“How do I Know All of This?”
I see this happening to my friends who are in niches.
I talk to many of the big name marketers all day long,
every day. Many of them are my consulting clients or
strategic alliance partners. And I hear the stress in
their voices every time we speak.
In fact, on of my partners, Henry Gold, is in four
different niches. In the past, he could easily dominate
his entire market. However, since the information age
has OFFICIALLY ENDED, he has started seeing people
follow what he is doing in those markets.
On a recent call, Henry told me about one of his
competitor’s who had:
Created an ebook.
Set-up an almost identical PPC campaign.
Reduced the produt’s pricing.
You’d think that someone in Henry’s position would be
almost in tears, right?
WRONG !
Henry and I had to sit there and chuckle at what was
happening. You see, since Henry and I base our
businesses on a systemization process, we are able to
go WAY beyond our competitors. In fact, in Henry’s
case, his compeititors were even SHOCKED that he
could lower his price so far.
He even got many complaints from people calling him a
“jerk” and so on. I’m not surprised … this is the
new reality that we are in … it is the “conceptual era”.
The internet marketing business is no longer based on
how good your product is. (It is NOT even close!) Of
course, high quality products still count, but if you
CANNOT survive, who will care about your high-quality
products?
This is WHY many internet marketers have started to
buy the rights of certain Internet Marketing products.
Not resale rights … but buying full product lines!
This is VERY SCARY!
I don’t care who you are.
I don’t care where you come from.
I don’t care how experienced you are in your business.
If you still think that we are in the information age,
instead of the conceptual age, you are setting yourself
up for FAILURE!
Henry and I have been aware of this since the Summer 2005
when a good friend of ours, Mike Filsaime affirmed our
suspicions in New York during a presentation.
So what era are we now in?
We are in the conceptual age!
We are in the strategic age!

The strategy discussed in that post is one of the best
strategies I’ve seen. It is used by many of my peers to
CONQUER their whole market.
This information age issue has been bothering me for a
while NOW.
